Helping reduce health inequalities is how Sanofi Espoir Foundation expressed its mission when it was created in 2010.

With such an ambition, you need to make choices to be really effective. So together with its project selection committee and Board of Directors, the Foundation continued in 2013 to focus its commitments along three action lines:

The need for greater equity in access to healthcare is based on a complex equation that no government or organization can solve alone. It requires the participation and cooperation of many stakeholders with complementary skills and responsibilities. For us, this means launching and supporting programs with our partners that are intended to be reproducible and organized in networks to build and share knowledge. A successful action is ultimately one that is gradually taken over and developed further by the local health authorities that we try to help.

This annual report will give you details about the major projects we continued to undertake in 2013. On behalf of the Board of Directors and the Foundation team, I would like to thank our partners and Sanofi’s own people for sharing our commitment to serving human lives.
