Universal Health Coverage Day

As part of their commitment to healthcare access for the most vulnerable populations and to enrich the debate on the establishment of universal health coverage by drawing on feedback from the field, the Sanofi Espoir Foundation and the French Development Agency (AFD) jointly organized a day of discussions around micro-health insurance in developing countries.

My Child matters results highlighted during the World Cancer Leaders’ Summit

The key results of 10 years of successful international collaboration within My child matters initiative in the Philippines to fight against childhood cancer were presented by the Sanofi Espoir Foundation and its partners during the World Cancer Leaders’ Summit, which gathered 250 leaders from UN agency partners, Ministries of Health, international cancer and non-communicable disease (NCD) organisations, academia and the private sector, in Istanbul on November 17-18.

Solidarity With Nepal- 6 months after

In the aftermath of the disaster that hit Nepal in April, the Sanofi Group and the Sanofi Espoir Foundation mobilized to help victims through an appeal for generosity from their employees. A total of €197,000 was collected, matched by the Group, to which were added €100,000 allocated by the Foundation.

International midwives' day 2015

To celebrate the International Day of the Midwife, the Sanofi Espoir Foundation and the International Confederation of Midwives are rewarding 10 initiatives taken by midwives to improve the health of women and newborns. For the second year running, the Sanofi Espoir Foundation and the International Confederation of Midwives (ICM) have organized the Midwives for Life Awards 2015 to reward projects run by midwives. These all aim to reduce maternal and neonatal mortality and improve the health of women and newborns in countries with limited resources.

Very encouraging results for the "A Call for Life" program

In Benin, 1,500 women die each year from complications related to pregnancy, childbirth or the puerperium – a total of 125 women a month. The Sanofi Espoir Foundation has supported the implementation of the innovative "A Call for Life" program with its CARE partner, the Ouinhi municipal authorities and the Ministry of Health of Benin.
