Sanofi employees commit themselves to the Fondation Apprentis d'Auteuil

April 19th, 2017

The Sanofi Espoir Foundation, a partner of Apprentis d'Auteuil, has offered Sanofi employees in Ile-de-France two days of volunteering in March and April.

  • a day of painting at the Orly center, which welcomes children from 3 to 16 years, to renovate the toddlers place of life
  • a day of gardening in the educational village of the center of Meudon which trains young people in horticulture and landscaping.

About forty employees took part in renovating the corridor of the bedrooms and a classroom in Orly. In Meudon, they planted flowers in the educational garden and helped upkeep the rose bushes, accompanied by students undergoing training.

These events enabled everyone to find out about the Apprentis d'Auteuil’s mission, offer their time and skills, and talk with the children and young people living there.

A warm, friendly moment of sharing that everyone enjoyed!

The partnership

For 150 years, the Apprentis d'Auteuil Foundation has reached out to help young people in difficulty. It hosts more than 25,000 young people and 6,000 families suffering from social, family and school difficulties in its 200 institutions.

The partnership with the Sanofi Espoir Foundation began in June 2016 and after a 3-year assessment of health needs, will help organize a genuine national health policy for all Apprentis d'Auteuil institutions in France./p>

To ensure access to care for as many vulnerable young people as possible, it is essential that the institutions welcoming them can provide adequate medical and/or psychological support.
