Fighting the vicious circle of disease & poverty: the Sanofi Espoir Foundation supports four new projects

The Sanofi Espoir Foundation launched a call for projects in early 2011 to identify innovative projects that could improve access to care for disadvantaged communities and help break the vicious circle of disease & poverty.

68 projects have been submitted by existing NGO partners and newcomers to the Foundation, and by Sanofi affiliates.

Each project was rigorously examined on the basis of the Foundation's mission to reduce health inequalities and in against the criteria for selecting projects to support local health policies and build capacity among local actors.

After the meetings of the Selection Committee on May 5 and the Board of Directors on May 27, four projects were approved:
