Sanofi Season of Solidarity

December 4, 2012

An annual international event dedicated to solidarity, opening up opportunities to meet partner associations to organize solidarity activities for their benefit

For the first year, the Sanofi Espoir Foundation, backed by Sanofi and its affiliates, is launching the Sanofi Season of Solidarity. The goal is to fortify employee volunteering and breathe new life into existing partnerships.

Between October and December, different Sanofi entities customarily organize their solidarity activities by bringing their staff together with partner organizations.

A number of different activities are set up, including solidarity breakfasts, sales of craft products for the benefit of partner organizations, collecting toys and products for people in difficulty (glasses, hygiene products, clothing), sports challenges, and off-site activities.

Some employees of the U.S. affiliate, for example, spent a few hours in an association to help repaint the premises. Japanese employees have been distributing gifts to children in hospital, while the team in Brazil organized recreational activities with children in difficulty.

In 2012, 12 countries representing more than 70 sites are participating in this pilot initiative: Lebanon, France, U.S., Canada, Turkey, Brazil, China, Japan, Malaysia, Vietnam, Argentina and Egypt.

We are launching the first Solidarity Season in 12 pilot countries. We want to pledge these days to solidarity, conviviality and creativity as we involve worldwide employees in solidarity actions for the benefit of partner organisms.
