Fighting against maternal and newborn mortality

To strengthen its efforts to improve maternal and child health in developing countries, the selection committee on November 27 and the Board of Directors on December 12, 2012 approved two new projects and further support for two existing programs supported by the Foundation:

New projects:

Mauritania
Mongolia

Further support for existing projects:

Niger and Guinea
Algeria
 

Access to health care for the most socially excluded segments in France

Together with its long-term partners, the Foundation wanted to become more involved in improving access to healthcare for the most vulnerable, especially in France.

Three new projects that complemented each other in terms of activities and geographical location were approved by the Foundation’s decision-making bodies in late 2012:
